Nurture Early, Support Together. Hastings Kids NEST is a free early childhood support program designed to help families navigate questions or concerns about their child's development. Through developmental screening, practical strategies, and personalised guidance, NEST connects families with the information, support, and services they need to feel confident in their next steps. No diagnosis or referral is required.

Over the past year, our team has been actively involved in advocacy at local, state and national levels to ensure that the voices of children, families and allied health professionals are heard during significant reforms to the disability, health and early intervention sectors.

NDIS plans are changing, and one of the changes families may start to see is funding periods.

This means that instead of being able to access the full amount of funding in a plan straight away, funding may be released in smaller portions across the life of the plan.

There has been a lot of discussion recently about proposed changes to the NDIS and what they may mean for children, families and the services that support them. We know that many families are feeling worried, confused and uncertain about what happens next.
